CALOUNDRA RSL // SUNSHINE COAST
Hillmorr are proud to play part of the extensive renovations of the recently completed Caloundra RSL, located in Queensland Sunshine Coast. Caloundra RSL has been relaunched as a vibrant and exciting hub for entertainment and community.
Hillmorr was tasked to supply high-performance commercial grade wallpaper for the internal hallway feature wall that was to imitate a padded gold-studded/ silk-like fabric panels. Working closely with WBP Architects, we used our SIAM SILK wallpaper from our VINYL NATURALS COLLECTIONS as a base and rotating the design vertically we achieved a subtle vertical fabric weave. Overlaid with a custom colour to match the interior scheme, we added shading into the diamond patterns to create a sense of depth. With further embellishment of the addition of gold trim and buttons, we were able to achieve a wallpaper that appeared to be padded silk upholstered panels that was ultimately cleanable and easily maintained.
Our ALLOY vinyl wallcovering was selected as the substrate for this project. Chosen for robustness and its sophisticated and luxurious sheen, ALLOY’S light texture, smooth surface and high gloss finish exaggerates the silk-like features of this custom wallpaper. Furthermore, like all our substrates is FR compliant and cleanable, suitable for high-traffic areas.
