CUSTOM CONTINUOUS \\ METALLIC SPLATTERED MURAL

The vision for the gaming rooms walls was to create a wallcovering that captured the glow of embers against a dark smokey charcoal backdrop. Encapsulating the ferocious fire that destroyed the 1930’s Sydenham pub in 2018, the result is a golden charcoal coloured luxe wallcovering that sings luxury as it billows across the walls.

The substrate chosen was LINEN for a deep embossed canvas-like tactile finish that provided the Fire Rating and commercial performance required for this gaming room space. Hillmorr, using the wall dimensions engineered the wallcovering for each wall space to enable a continuous effect that ran seamlessly around the wall surface, it was important that the gold metallic splatter was unique and flowed organically over the wall surface, therefore every wall was taken into consideration to make sure that there was not a noticeable repeat, ensuring the effect of a continuous mural.

THE GENERAL GORDON HOTEL \\ THE FIFTH WALL

The vision for this part of the project was to create a wondrous monochrome garden scene for the ceiling. A creamy white backdrop framed with botanical foliage growing towards the centre. The botanicals looking like shadows as the sun moved across the ceiling throughout the day, capturing the natural light and creating a sense of movement.

This custom design was created by our in-house team, who developed this design based on our client’s vision. All colours and shades were colour matched to Dulux paint colours to ensure a seamless transition from wallcovering to paint finish. The plants were duplicated over two layers with different opacities to create the feeling of depth and the scale was decided upon based on Hillmorr shop drawings and samples, ensuring the correct size and colour before production. This custom wallcovering was designed to the ceiling’s dimensions ensuring the wallcovering fit the ceiling perfectly.
